to the UK 2009

Walk in the footsteps of past generations, to see antique quilts,
textiles, linens and clothing. As well as spending three days visiting the magnificent
exhibits and market of the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham.
Along our travels we will visit quilt and costume exhibitions in various museums,
see private collections of quilts, visit well-known shops, including Liberty of London,
and visit magnificent castles such as Kensington Palace and Edinburgh Castle. Another highlight
will be the Victoria and Albert Museum to see some of the national collection of textiles
covering a period of more than 2000 years.
