Fabric choices
The larger, the bolder, the better! This bag
was designed to feature the wonderful
large-scale fabrics that are currently the
rage in the quilting world. Bold spots and
stripes are perfect partners for these bold,
large-scale prints.

Construction
To create the ‘peeper’ strips, press the
11/4in strips in half lengthwise with the
right sides out. Place these strips to the
right side of the top and bottom edges of
the 9in x 151/2in feature fabric rectangles,
with the raw edges aligned and the folds
facing inwards. Stitch the strips in place
within the seam allowance.
Using a 1/4in seam, sew a 4in top
contrast strip and 5in bottom contrast
strip to either side of the two 9in x
151/2in feature fabric rectangles,
encasing the ‘peeper’ strips in the
seams. Press lightly.
