The next generation is onto it – stitching that is. There are
growing numbers of retailers offering sewing classes to young
women and men. The new generation has developed an interest
in recreating old clothes – with embroidery etcetera, or making
their own skirts, bags and accessories.
There are many websites that provide inspiration:

Sewing.org is part of the Sewing & Craft Alliance (SCA). SCA
provides education and creative resources to the sewing and craft
enthusiast. This site shares information on how to sew, as well as
numerous free patterns, including some geared towards teens,
and some patchwork quilt projects.
